{SweetTalk Shop} Taste Bud Overload

Are you like me and Pin recipes to your Pinterest Boards and say one day I'm gonna try that??
I'm so bad about doing that.
Well today was the day I decided to try some of these recipes and share one on my new favorites from one of Mr. B's co-workers.

I'm not going to show you step by step for the ones I tried that I know are already out there. I will be sharing the link and you can check it out for yourself!!

First off I made a list of everything I would need for all the recipes I would be re-creating today.
Then it was off to the store with Mr. B in tow.

My first recipe I put together when we got home was from "Recipes We Love"
They posted this one on my Linky Party #16 and boy and I glad they did.

Thanks Amber and Ann Kelly for sharing this creamy yumminess!!

Next up was this drink recipe from "Not So Homemade"
I've had this pinned for like months and waited tooooo long to get free lemons from my Daddy. What a procrastinator I am!!  Thank Goodness we have a Vegetable/fruit stand down not 2 miles from my home.  Because I refused to pay $6 for 9 lemons.  I got 12 for $4 at Porter's

Thanks Courtney, I may never have to go to Chic-fil-A again.  I mean really, isn't the Lemonade why you go??  Drink more Just Like C-F-A Lemonade!!

Had some lunch that Mr. B whipped up while I was making the above to recipes.  Who loves BLT's???
WE DO!!!

Then came this creamy delight I can hardly wait to swirl around in my mouth this evening!!
Mel over at "The Crafty Scientist" had guest blogger Jenna of It's Just Called Spicy share this with her readers!! I immediately pinned and wanted to whipped it up a couple of weekends ago, but was completely out of Heavy Whipping Cream!!

I made Chocolate and Mr. B and I licked the spoon and I swear it tasted just like a Wendy's Frosty! I'm salivating just knowing it is in the freezer!!!

Now here is Mr. B's co-workers recipe.  I will be having this for lunch tomorrow.
Linda brought this to his store picnic last weekend and I immediately had to find out who brought it and beg  politely as for the recipe.

Broccoli Salad.

Here is what you need
4 cups of broccoli florets
2 cups of seedless red grapes
1/2 cup of diced onions
8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup of sunflower nuts
Mix all those together and then mix up the dressing which consist of;
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 cup of sugar
and pour over the top 5 ingredients and mix well. Chill overnight for best results.

I can hardly wait for lunch time tomorrow.

Lastly on my list of things to make today is Erika V's Garlic Cheddar Biscuits. You can find this recipe on her blog at "Southern Belle as an Army Wife"

Erika shared these on my Linky Party #16 too.  Not sure what we are going to make to go with these babies tonight, but I'm thinking shrimp and baked potatoes sound good to me.

Now what is on your Pinterest boards or on a Linky Party you have been wanting to try?  You may just be missing out on your new favorite recipe!!

{SweetTalkin' Sunday} Link Party #16

Saturday has rolled around again!!
I'm excited to see what you have been up to.  I haven't taken the time to really craft the last few weeks.
My bracelet endeavor has taken off and I have gotten quite a few orders (mostly locally), I couldn't be happier that my friends are loving them as much as I love making them.

Will be sharing more creations here soon!! I'm super excited about a request I got recently.  I'm will be sharing closer to Mother's Day which is right around the corner.
Mother's Day holds an extra special place in my heart.
Big C was born on Mother's Day 21 years ago this year. All those details are for another blog post.

So lets get to the most viewed link up last week.
I have to say I put in a request for some of these little babies for my growing bead collection!!

Holly at Options Abound is Upcycling Baby Food Containers.  Do you have reason for wanting some of these little containers?

I am hoping she is stashing me some of these away and when we meet up soon, she will hand them over!! hint hint. LOL

Grab the featured button Holly and place on your blog.

Saturday Outing

Today I went to the Plant City Farmers Market.
If you are local to Plant City and have not liked their facebook page.
Check them out and stay up with the happenings!
Bryan and I tried to see what it was all about last weekend with no luck.
Didn't realize it was not going to happen because of the monthly Car Show.

I think I may have gotten there a little too early.
There was only a few booths setup, but I found a couple of vendors to share with you.
They both have websites that you may be interested in checking out.

First I was drawn to "I Heart Cupcakes Bakery"  I mean who can really pass up cupcakes??

Jayme is the owner and baker of all these wonderful treats.
She has a ton of flavors and delivers locally.
I didn't have my camera out with me,
but I took a couple of pictures when I got home to share.

I bought a 1/2 dozen to share.

Never had a Banana Pudding cupcake.
Have to say it was as good as it looks!
DELICIOUS!!

Next I happened on to this little novelty!!
I know I have mentioned on here that I love FROGS,
but this is really taking it to the limit!!
LOL

I bought this jam, just so I could share with you all.
But I have to say it is quite Yummy!!
You can find it at Parkesdale Farms.
They have a wedsite and ship all over the country.
If you have ever visited Plant City,
I'm sure one of your stops would have been Parkesdale Farm Market
They are known to be the stopping place for politicians on the I-4 coridoor.
I know many have made their way to this little well known market for their
World Famous Strawberry Shortcake and Shakes.

Love the name??  Well I had to have it!  And I tried it out too!!

YUMMY!!
Jam made with Figs, Raspberries, Orange peel, and Ginger

Hoping next week to visit and find some more fun to explore!

{SweetTalk Shop} Beaded Earrings

Okay I'm sure if you follow me on facebook you realize how obsessed
I have become in making the stretch bead bracelets.
I love them. I swear they are liking my little babies now.
I'm thinking it is empty nest syndrome symptoms. :)

I picked up a cheap kit of earring making what nots at Wally World.
I've carried them around in my bead bag for about 2 weeks now.
But I got them out tonight and decided that I needed a pair of earrings
to go with the multi bead bracelets I made today.

Very simple!!
I'll let the pictures do the talking!

I also wanted to show off this sweet bracelet
I made for a HS friend that lost a family member
and wanted a bracelet to bring awareness to Pancreatic Cancer
(I actually made her 6 for other family members)

Thanks Paula for letting me help you and your family
bring awareness to this deadly disease.

If you are interested in knowing what all the different colors for awareness mean.
Crafts and Scraps has one of the best pages for all the different ones.

{Link Party} SweetTalkin' Sunday #15

Oh I've had a busy day!!!
Mr. B normally works every Saturday and I get to sleep in and lounge around the house catching up on blog reading and crafts.  Well he had the day off, so we went to visit Big C over in Orlando at college.
I knew we were going, so yesteday I made him Chicken Taco Stew and last night a made a huge pot of Spaghetti with homemade meatballs and sausage.
He lives with 6 other fellas and I wanted them to have a couple of home cooked meals.

My day started at 4 am when I couldn't go back to sleep.  Crawled out of bed at 5am and started getting ready.  We were at Big C's house by 9am, breakfast and then on to Hobby Lobby!  Rae-Berry Beads (a Florida Blogger buddies store), Bass Pro Shop and then home to a late nap and now a headache.  If it doesn't rain here soon and I mean a huge storm, my head is going to explode!!!

I know you all are just ready to get on with the fun stuff, so here we go!!

I normally let inlinkz pick the winner of the I was Featured, but I had a favorite this week.  I have loved looking at and reading Dulce fresa's recipes for some time. I don't think she has missed a week of linking up since we started. And all her recipes are just so yummy looking!!  This one difinetly caught my eye because I am a huge Oreo lover!!  I can only read the recipes by highlighting them and having Bing translate. If there is an easier way, I would love to know. LOL

Does this not look oh so yummy!!??

Grab the featured button and thanks for sharing all your wonderful recipes!!

{SweetTalk Shop} Spring 2012 Designs

Did you know I started this blog to showcase some of the graphic design work I created.
As you know life takes turns and this blog has taken a lot.

I have been doing a little design work.  I can always count on my nieces to want custom designs for their parties. And I have a few buttons I've done in the past few weeks.

Here is my niece's birthday invites! I made the paisley designs a few months back and was thrilled she wanted to use them on her invites. Last years luau party was a hit, you can see all the details here.

I link to Claire's Link Party and in one of her posts she mentioned she needed a Featured button and I jumped right in. I prayed I wasn't stepping on toes, she didn't ask me to design it, but the image just popped in my head and I couldn't resist.  I e-mailed her with what I had designed and she was thrilled.  Click here to check out Claire's blog, she would be thrilled!

I got an e-mail a few weeks back to make up these announcements.  Precious and Dallas are cousins and last year I had the honor of designing Dallas' Sweet 16 invites.  If you missed them you can check out her post here.

Jean asked me a few months back to work on her blog header and button.  I had done a revamp of her DIL's blog and she liked what I had done and wanted to see what I could come up with for her blog.  You can check it out here.  She is starting a Friday Stash blog post from different bloggers, If yo have an idea for her or want to guest blog she may have some openings still.
Click on her blog name to see Grandma Farmer's blog.

And that is what I have been up to graphic design wise.

{SweetTalk Shop} Sponsor Love

Have you noticed I have a sponsor on my sidebar???

It is the fabulous Melissa, of Tag Me Chic,
and I want you to get to know her a little better.
So I did a little interview to get up close and personal.

1. How did Tag Me Chic! Etsy shop come about?
I love crafts and gift tags and wanted a space to share that with others, that's how Tag Me Chic started.  Gift tags are an item typically over looked but I think it's important to add a chic touch to your gifts.  I also sell banners, cupcake toppers, and from time to time a printable collection.

2. Where can we learn more about the behind the scenes of the shop owner?
I'm pretty much an open book so if you want to get to know the gal behind Tag Me Chic visit my site, www.trulychicinspirations.com or shoot me an email, melissa@trulychicinspirations.com .

3. If you could spend one day with someone that inspires you, who would that person be and why?
If I could spend 1 day with a person who inspires me I would be hanging out with Hayley Williams from the band Paramore.  I know she isn't a crafter or blogger but her drive for what she does is amazing (and she has the most amazing voice)!  She inspires me and many others daily.  Plus, she seems very humble for being such a famous gal.  My husband refers to Hayley as my 'girl crush', hehe.

4. Where do you see your DREAM taking you?
I see my dream allowing me to stay home and leave my full time job.  Home, crafting, & blogging = DREAM!!!  I hope this dream comes true before I have babies! wink wink

5.  Open Mic! Tell us what you want SweetTalk Shop readers to know, but wasn't asked!!
I recently had the opportunity to experience New York City, the Martha Stewart way.  80 ladies attend the annual Dreamers into Doers Event and I was one!!!  I finally got to see New Your City, meet Martha Stewart's staff, be a part of a show taping, and connect with amazing bloggers from all over - best experience ever.

A Little more about me ~ I love parties, music, coffee, cupcakes, going on cruises & traveling.  I also dream of traveling as much as I want.  Seriously wouldn't traveling as a full time job be amazing!?!

I am also Contributing writer for A Sweet Spot Home and Dreamin' N Details.

I hope you take a few minutes and check out where Melissa hangs her hats and roams the web!! She is Truly an Inspiration to me and has been since I met her.  She is one super Chic!!!

Thanks MC!!!
